Gangster 'Fat Freddie' arrested at Dublin Airport

Thompson appeared in court this afternoon and a hearing has been set for next week.

GARDAÍ TODAY ARRESTED 33-year-old crime boss ‘Fat Freddie’ Thompson after he stepped off a plane at Dublin Airport.

The gangster had been extradited from Holland on foot of a European arrest warrant and was met on the runway by gardaí from Kilmainham Garda Station.

Thompson appeared in court this afternoon to face charges of violent disorder during a row at Morrissey’s pub on Cork Street in Dublin last year after a funeral.

He was remanded in custody to Cloverhill Prison and a hearing will take place on 27 May in the Criminal Courts of Justice.
