Man dies after his go-kart crashes into a van

He was brought to hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after.

A MAN IN his 20s has died in a go-kart crash this afternoon.

The incident happened in the Nurney area of Carlow at around 2.45pm. Gardaí said that the man passed away when the motorised go-cart he was driving collided with a van.

He was taken by ambulance to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny where he was pronounced dead.

A post mortem examination will take place on Monday at University Hospital Waterford.

Gardaí said that the driver of the van was not injured in the incident.
