Man killed in Waterford crash

The man in his 50s died this morning when his car crashed into a wall outside Lismore in Waterford.

A MAN IN his 50s has died in a crash in Waterford.

The collision happened at around 8.45am today when the car the man was driving crashed into a wall. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to Waterford Regional Hospital.

The accident happened on the Lismore to Cappoquin Road, just outside Lismore.

Forensic investigators have carried out an examination of the road.

Gardaí investigating the crash have called for any witnesses to contact Dungarvan Garda station on 058 – 48600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
