AN AIRCRAFT WAS met by medical teams on arrival at Dublin airport last night after fifteen passengers were found to be unwell on board.

The Jet2 charter flight was due to arrive from Tel Aviv at 8.45pm. It arrived close to schedule but staff requested medical assistance before touching down after a number of passengers became sick.

A spokesperson for UK-based airline Jet2 said the cause of the illness was not known. However, it has been suggested that a number of passengers could have visited the same restaurant in Tel Aviv prior to boarding the flight.

A spokesperson for Dublin Airport said the illness was food-related.
