Investigation into fire at St Maur's church, Rush

Gardaí are to investigate the cause of the fire, which broke out early this morning.

A CHURCH IN Rush, Co Dublin, went ablaze this morning, the fire service said.

It received a phone call about part of St Maur’s church being on fire at 8.15am. Three units of the fire brigade were sent to the blaze, which was put out a short time later.

Nobody was hurt in the incident. As per normal procedure, the gardaí are expected to investigate the cause of the fire at the church, a spokesperson told TheJournal.ie.

St Maur’s church was built in 1989.
