Fireworks, mobile phones and three types of drugs seized in Dublin

Gardaí said the house they searched was unoccupied at the time and no arrests were made.

GARDAÍ IN SOUTH Dublin have seized a quantity of drugs and a number of other items after conducting a search at a house in Ballymount.

Yesterday afternoon, gardaí investigating the sale and supply of drugs in the Tallaght and Clondalkin area searched the house and found €2,000 worth of cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy as well as other drugs paraphernalia. They also seized €2,000 in cash, €2,500 worth of fireworks, seven mobile phones and three suspected false driving licences.

Gardaí said the house was unoccupied at the time and no arrests were made but added that the operation is ongoing.

“Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities,” they said in a statement this morning. “Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.”
