Appeal for witnesses to early morning attack in Dublin's city centre

A man was injured in the violent assault and robbery.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN have appealed for witnesses who may hold key information about a violent assault to come forward.

A man is in hospital today being treated for injuries sustained during an attack and robbery in the early hours of this morning.

Investigators from Kevin Street garda station believe the man was assaulted and attacked by a second male near Christchurch Place and Fishamble Street at about 2am.

The injured man was discovered by gardaí and removed to St James Hospital.
