Flights diverted and delayed at Dublin Airport because of gusty winds

Travellers are hoping the winds will die down so they get home for Christmas.

A NUMBER OF flights due to land at Dublin Airport have been delayed and diverted because of strong, gusty winds.

DAA has advised passengers to check their departure times with airlines ahead of travelling.

“A number of flights have been diverted to Shannon and Belfast due to severe gusty winds at Dublin. Passengers advised to check their airline,” it advised.

The severe winds are impacting many flights from a variety of destinations.

Across the water, problems with landing at Gatwick Airport have also led to diversions elsewhere in Europe.

Ryanair has advised customers to check the latest flight information on it website on this “blustery Christmas Eve”.
