Full Dart services to run over bank holiday weekend

Iarnród Éireann has announced the postponment of engineering works planned for this weekend due to the disruption it would cause over the May Bank Holiday.

NORTH DUBLIN DART services will not be disrupted over the bank holiday weekend as previously announced, as planned works have now been postponed.

Yesterday, Iarnród Éireann said that North Dublin Dart services would be disrupted this weekend due to engineering works under the Dart resignalling project, and that no train service between Connolly and Malahide/Howth stations on Saturday, Sunday or Monday as a result of the work.

However, today Iarnród Éireann said that the weekend’s planned resignalling commissioning was to be deferred, and that full Dart, Northern Commuter and Belfast Enterprise services will operate across the weekend.

The company said the schedule for the works was reexamined due to businesses and tourism concerns that had been raised.

A normal public holiday weekend service will now operate, which will include a Sunday service on DART and Northern Commuter on Bank Holiday Monday.
