Need to get a present for a couple? Look no further...

Two for the price of one… no? Here’s where to head to in Dublin for a gorgeous gift.

BUYING FOR COUPLES is a bit of God-send – you can scratch two people off your list with one handy present.

But what to get them? There’s a lot of thinking to be done – you need to get something that appeals to both of them, so it can be trickier than it sounds.

Of course, restaurant vouchers or cinema tickets should go down a treat, but in case you want to give them something that will last a little longer, pull up a pew.

Homeware

Splashing out on something fancy for the house is often down the list of priorities so treating the couple to something nice for the home would be a much-appreciated gesture – and for the season that’s in it, a Christmas themed ornament would probably go down a treat.

Brown Thomas, Grafton Street, Arnotts on Henry Street, Debenhams in Jervis Street Shopping Centre or Stock on Clarendon Street are all places to pick up something beautiful for the home.

Tickets to a show

Couples with kids (and without) will definitely appreciate a night out so tickets to a show or gig would be well received. Head to The Gate Theatre, Cavendish Row, The Abbey, Abbey Street Lower, Vicar Street, Thomas Street or The Gaiety, South William Street for a selection of shows for all tastes, dahlin.

Wine or whiskey glasses

A beautiful set of cut crystal whiskey tumblers or some fancy wine glasses are always a welcome gift and there are some beautiful sets in Kilkenny Design, Nassau Street, or try TK Maxx in St Stephen’s Green.

Coffee

Almost everyone loves a coffee these days, so what better gift to grab than a fancy coffeemaker? It’s the kind of purchase you probably wouldn’t splash out on for yourself, so would go down a treat as a present. Head over to Argos in Jervis Street, Nespresso on South Anne Street, or Brown Thomas on Grafton Street and pick up something perky.
