Girl, 17, arrested over Phoenix Park murder

She is being questioned under the Criminal Justice Act in Blanchardstown garda station.

A 17-YEAR-OLD girl has been arrested by gardaí investigating the murder of a man in the Phoenix Park last Friday.

She was detained late last night and is being questioned at Blanchardstown garda station.

Gardaí have now made three arrests in relation to the death.

A 27-year-old man is due in court later today to be charged with the murder. Another male, aged 20, is still being held at Finglas garda station.

Although gardaí have not yet formally identified the victim, media reports today have suggested he was a rough sleeper by choice and had access to large quantities of cash.
