Teenage girl on stolen boat rescued from River Shannon

She was taken into garda custody and is uninjured.

A TEENAGE GIRL has been rescued from the River Shannon in Limerick.

Gardaí and Limerick City & County Fire and Rescue Service were involved in the operation.

The girl was found on board a stolen inflatable boat without power at around 6.30pm.

It’s believed the boat had been taken from behind Sarsfield House without permission.

She was taken into garda custody and is uninjured.
