The vats arrived at the Carlisle Pier earlier this month on the vessel MV Myrte. The tanks are some 22 metres long, 6.6 metres wide and 5.4 metres high.

According to Celtic Forwarding transport group, the silos will be used in the Guinness brewery extension.
