Man recovering after presenting to Mater Hospital with gunshot wounds to legs

A car carrying two men crashed into a barrier at the hospital last night.

A CAR CARRYING two men crashed into a barrier at the Mater Hospital yesterday.

One of the passengers, a man in his 20s, had been shot in the legs and was driven to the hospital for treatment by another man.

They presented to the hospital at about 7.15pm, however his injuries were described as non life threatening.

The man is believed to be in a stable condition today having undergone surgery last night.

The gardaí said they are appealing for information in relation to the matter. Gardaí at Mountyjoy Garda Station are investigating, but no arrests have been made.
