Poll: Would you report wood being stockpiled for bonfires?

It’s getting closer to Halloween.

IT’S GETTING TO that time of year when the public is warned of the dangers of fireworks and illegal bonfires.

As Halloween edges closer, Dublin City Council has urged anyone who spots people stockpiling wooden pallets for a bonfire to contact them.

The council said it was carrying out dozens of raids to remove bonfire material right up to Halloween.

The council said it removed in excess of 420 tonnes of materials during the Halloween period last year, after receiving 280 reports from the public of stockpiling taking place.

So, this morning we’re asking: Would you report wood being stockpiled for bonfires?
