Fire being fought in derelict building at Naval base in Cork

There is no threat to life.

FIREFIGHTERS ARE FIGHTING a fire at the Naval Service’s base at Haulbowline in Cork.

The fire took hold in a derelict building at the site tonight.

The alarm was raised this evening, but it is believed there is no danger to life.

A number of units are attending and the fire has been contained. Surrounding areas have been evacuated.
