Here's why a flood warning was issued for the south and east coasts...

It’s very wet today. Very, very wet.

MET ÉIREANN’S FLOOD warning is still in place, and with scenes like the one above, it’s no surprise why.

The picture was taken of the cycle lane on the coast of Clontarf earlier by a TheJournal.ie reader.

Met Éireann says, “Heavy rain will continue to fall over the eastern half of the country during today and will clear towards evening”. Thank God for that!
