Man charged over Thurles heroin seizure

The man, aged in his 30s, appeared before a special sitting of Nenagh District Court.

A MAN IN his 30s arrested during the course of a raid at a house in Thurles, Co Tipperary earlier this week has appeared in court.

Heroin, amphetamines and cannabis with a combined value of around €40,000 was uncovered when uniformed gardaí and members of the divisional drugs squad searched the house on Tuesday evening.

The man, who was detained at the scene, appeared before a special sitting of Nenagh District Court at 3pm this afternoon.

A woman also arrested in connection with the case was released last night, with a file to be prepared for the the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The arrests were part of an ongoing investigation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in Tipperary, according to gardaí.
