Shocking GoPro footage of Russian hooligans attacking English fans

It was announced earlier today that the team was being hit with a suspended disqualification.

SHOCKING GOPRO FOOTAGE of Russian football fans wreaking terror in the French city of Marseille has emerged online.

It is taken from the point of view of one Russian supporter involved in the violence against England fans following the match.

In the footage Russian fans can be seen throwing chairs, shouting abuse and charging at England fans.

Following the attacks it was reported that 150 fans were at the centre of the violence, and that they appeared to be well-trained and organised.

Earlier today, Euro 2016 officials declared that Russia have been hit with a suspended disqualification, and that any further crowd incidents in a stadium will result in their exclusion.

Speaking earlier today, Uefa’s chief of press Pedro Pinto said that the organisation control, ethics and disciplinary body had also decided to fine the Russian Football Union €150,000.

The Russian authorities initially took a belligerent approach to their fans’ behaviour, with MP Igor Lebedev – a member of the executive board of the Russian football union – saying he saw nothing wrong with their behaviour, going so far as to say that they had defended the ‘honour’ of their country.

With the threat of disqualification looming over the team, Russian officials have rolled back on this position, with Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov stating that he does not agree with the earlier comments.

In total 35 people were injured in the violence on after Saturday’s game, with four of them seriously hurt.
