How news of the Cork disaster broke on Twitter

The serious nature of the morning’s plane crash unfolded in all its tragedy through both news accounts and regular tweeters.

REPORTS OF THIS morning’s fatal air crash in Cork, in which six people were killed and another six injured, began to emerge on Twitter not long after the accident took place.

It quickly became clear that the crash – involving a Manx2 light aircraft carrying a pilot, co-pilot and ten passengers – was a very serious incident.
