PHOTOS: Gardaí investigating fire on trawler at Howth pier

It is understood gardaí are treating the fire as suspicious.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are investigating a fire on a boat at East Pier in Howth, Dublin, last night.

The incident occurred at about 10pm with both gardaí and the fire brigade attending. No one was on board the boat at the time and no injuries were reported.

It is understood gardaí are treating the fire as suspicious but no arrests have been made.

The scene is preserved pending a forensic and technical examination.
