Hundreds of cannabis plants seized in Carlow

The discovery is thought to be worth about a quarter of a million euros.

GARDAÍ IN CARLOW seized about 300 cannabis plants at a house on the outskirts of Carlow town this evening.

Detectives believe the plants have an estimated street value of about €250,000. The discovery was made during a planned search.

No arrests were made but investigations are continuing.
