In pictures: Irish troops arrive home to smiles and smooches

There were happy scenes as the soldiers were welcomed at Dublin Airport today.

THERE WERE EMOTIONAL scenes at Dublin Airport today as scores of Irish troops arrived home from service in Lebanon.

Around 240 members of the 105th battalion were due home after spending six months patrolling around the Blue Line, around where Lebanon borders Israel.

And there were plenty of happy faces as they were reunited with family members – as well as the occasional good old-fashioned smooch. Here are the photos:
