Tipperary and Cork are on the checklist for today’s final jaunt around the country…

THE FOURTH AND final day of Queen Elizabeth II’s visit to Ireland involves a helicopter trip to check out OUR ancient royalty at the Rock of Cashel and a tour around Cork.

We’ll be updating this slideshow as the day progresses:

  • A strong willed woman. She seemed to enjoy her few days here. Pity the security had to be so tight. I think Ireland did it’s best to welcome her. Come back soon.

  • Those photo & TV shots of the Queen decked out in green, walking on the green fields of Cashel with the Rock of Cashel in the background can only bring lots & lots of tourists.\!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can’t buy that kind of advertising (30million may be cheap tourist advertising yet, wait & see?) & the fact that the sun was shining was a bonus & I watched it from Australia where the whole visit got daily very positive coverage. Up to now, any coverage over here about Ireland has not been very positive to say the least & not a great deal of coverage either. So, this has been a very positive message from Ireland to us Irish & Australians in Australia.
