Poll: Would you welcome an injection centre in your area?

The first is due to open next year.

MINISTER AODHÁN Ó Ríordáin is due to announce later today that Ireland’s first supervised injection room will be opening in the new year.

The Irish Times reports that a centre will open in Dublin, followed by Cork, Galway, and Limerick.

The minister said these will not be a “free-for-all” for drug users, and will be clinically supervised. The centres will also be used to engage them with the necessary services.

This morning we’re asking: Would you welcome an injection centre in your area?
