Two people gored at the running of the bulls in Pamplona

One person was gored in the chest and another in the leg in today’s run.

TWO PEOPLE HAVE been gored as a crowd dashed alongside six fighting bulls in a hair-raising third running of the bulls at Spain’s San Fermin festival in Pamplona.

Spanish Red Cross spokesman Jose Aldaba said one person was gored in the chest and another in the leg in today’s run. There were no immediate details on their identities or the gravity of their injuries.

Several people were treated for other injuries in the race.

Tension soared when one bull got separated from the pack in the final 100 metres and tried to charge runners on all sides.

Fifteen people have died from gorings since record-keeping began in 1924.

The nine-day street-partying festival was immortalised in Ernest Hemingway’s 1926 novel “The Sun Also Rises” and attracts thousands of foreign tourists
