Investigation launched after woman’s body found in Tralee

The remains of a woman in her 20s were discovered at a house in Tralee, Co Kerry, today.

A GARDA INVESTIGATION HAS been launched after the body of a woman in her 20s was discovered at a house in Tralee, Co Kerry, today.

Gardaí say the remains were found at around 3pm and the state pathologist’s office has been notified.

The body remains at the house and the scene is being preserved for a technical examination. TV3 is reporting that a two-year-old child was also found in the house but was unharmed.

Gardaí in Tralee are appealing to any persons who were in the Deerpark Estate in the last 24 hours to contact them on 066 7102 300 or on the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.

  • RTE radio news report said ‘Gardai are investigating the death of a female foreign national’.
    Could they not just say Polish woman? Or indeed ‘woman’ as pointed out by @AllanCavanagh on Twitter.
    It sounds almost non-human. RIP
