Two restaurants and 33 new boutiques will be opening in the coming weeks.

THERE IS SOME good news for shopaholics as a rake of new boutiques are opening up in the next few weeks at the popular Kildare Village outlet.

As part of its €50 million expansion, 33 new stores and two new restaurants will open bringing the total number of boutiques to 100. The expansion has created 400 jobs at the village.

Already 13 of the new stores have opened, including Armani, Benefit, Timberland, Lily O’Briens and Le Pain Quotidien restaurant. It is hoped most of the new boutiques will be opened this side of Christmas.

The extension also includes extra parking spaces and a new traffic management system.

Sales at the outlet are booming having increased by more than 10% last year. It attracts more than 2.5 million shoppers a year with three in ten travelling from overseas.
