Cash recovered after armed robbery at Killiney Shopping Centre

A member of the Garda Traffic Corps arrested the suspect shortly after the incident earlier today.

A MEMBER OF the Garda Traffic Corps stopped and arrested a man who had just carried out an armed robbery at the EBS office in Killiney Shopping Centre today.

A sum of cash and a firearm were recovered during the search and arrest.

The man, who is in his 30s, entered the building society just after noon today brandishing a handgun. He threatened staff before leaving the site on foot with a sum of cash.

No shots were fired during the incident and no injuries reported.

The suspect is being questioned at Dun Laoighaire garda station.
