GARDAÍ IN KINSALE have issued an appeal for information about a serious assault on Compass Quay last night.

An 18-year-old woman received injuries during the incident, which occurred at about 10.30pm. She was taken to Cork University Hospital where she received treatment.

Gardaí have asked any witnesses who were in the area of Compass Quay between 9.30pm and 10.30pm, or anyone who saw anything unusual or suspicious, to contact them at the local station on 021 477 2302 or the confidential line on 1800 666 111.
