Another suspect to appear in court in connection with Leicester house fire

The 22-year-old man is the eighth person to be charged in connection with the fire that killed a mother and three children.

A FURTHER SUSPECT has been charged with murder in connection with a house fire in Leicester which killed the family of a Dublin-based neurosurgeon.

The 22-year-old man is the eighth person to be charged in relation to the murder of Shehnila Taufiq and her three teenage children, Zainab, Bilal and Jamil.

The family were inside their terraced home in the Spinney Hills area of Leicester when the blaze broke out in the early hours of the morning.

All other suspects have been remanded in custody to appear in court at a later date.

Funeral

Yesterday, thousands of people turned up for the funeral of Dr Muhammad Taufiq al-Sattar’s family.

The bodies of the family members are to be brought to Dublin for burial this weekend.
