A SECURITY OPERATION in West Belfast has led to the evacuation of a number of houses.
The PSNI said this evening that police are currently in attendance at an ongoing security operation at Lenadoon Avenue, West Belfast.
Lenadoon Avenue has been closed between its junctions with Shaws Road and Corrib Avenue, while Shaws Road has been closed between its junctions with Glen Road and Rossnareen Avenue.
The security alert has led to the evacuation of residents from a number of houses.
