Teenager dies after suspected electrocution on Limerick farm

The boy is believed to have been electrocuted on a farm in Newcastle West at around 2.45pm this afternoon.

A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has died after a farming accident in Co Limerick earlier today.

The boy is believed to have been electrocuted on a farm in Newcastle West at around 2.45pm this afternoon.

His body was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital where a post-mortem will be carried out.

Gardaí said the Health and Safety Authority and the local coroner have been notified. The HSA confirmed that it is investigating the incident.

No foul play is suspected.
