This lost pooch is looking to get back home - is he your pet?

The dog is thought to be owned by an older person. He was found last weekend in Dublin.

A LITTLE LOST dog has been found in Dublin City Centre, and its minders are desperately hoping to reunite him with his owners.

The dog, who has been named Frank by the couple who are caring for him, was discovered by gardaí in the city centre last Saturday.

Gardaí believed he was stolen and took him to Store St garda station, and the pooch was then looked after by a woman and her boyfriend.

“We rang around all the vets, the DSPCA, put his picture up everywhere, and contacted Lost and Found Pets,” said the woman. But so far, no owner has been forthcoming.

A check-up at the vet’s showed that the dog is between one and two years old, and is healthy.

“He is very, very friendly,” she said. “We called him Frank because he looks like one!”

She said that he seems really well looked after and they suspect he has an older owner who might not be familiar with the internet.

The couple are hoping that someone might recognise him and put him in touch with his owner or owners.

“Hopefully someone will come forward who owns him,” said the woman.
