Police investigate suspicious fire in Belfast church

The PSNI said that the fire was discovered at around 3.40am in a boiler house in the church.

A SUSPICIOUS FIRE was discovered in the boiler room of a church in Co Antrim this morning, the PSNI said.

Police in Newtownabbey are appealing for information following the suspicious fire in Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Victoria Avenue, Whitehead at around 3.40am. The fire was discovered in the boiler house of the church.

Police say they are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
