A MAN AND his five-year-old daughter have died following a house fire in Tralee, Co Kerry overnight.

The fire broke out at a house in Killeen Heights just after 2am this morning with RTÉ Radio reporting that a neighbour who heard screams coming from the house alerted the authorities.

A woman in her late 20s managed to escaped the house by jumping from an upstairs window but a man, 30, and the young girl died. The woman was taken to Kerry General Hospital with a suspected broken leg.
