Man charged over killing of Kilkenny mother-of-five

51-year-old Siobhan Stapleton was found with serious injuries at her home last Friday and died while being brought to hospital.

A MAN IN his 30s is to appear before a court in Kilkenny today charged in connection with the death of mother-of-five Siobhan Stapleton last Friday.

The man was arrested in the Thomastown area of Kilkenny on Tuesday 29 May and will appear before Kilkenny District Court this morning.

The 51-year-old victim was found at her home in Thomastown on Friday afternoon with serious injuries. Gardaí were alerted after receiving an emergency call to the scene.

She was pronounced dead as a result of her injuries while being transferred by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
