Man critically ill after stabbing in Cork

Gardaí have launched an investigation after one man was seriously injured early this morning in Togher.

A MAN IN HIS 40S is in critical condition at Cork University Hospital after being stabbed shortly before 2am this morning.

The man was seriously injured at Plunkett Road, Ballypehane, Togher, Cork.

Gardaí are appealing to witnesses to come forward, and would particularly like to speak to a taxi driver who dropped the man off at Plunkett Road before the incident.
