Man dies in stabbing at Wexford home

The 27-year-old was fatally injured by a man who attacked him after he answered a call to his door late last night.

A 27-YEAR-OLD man has died in Wexford after being stabbed in his home shortly after midnight.

The man answered the door to a caller at his Hollyville Heights home at around midnight last night and became involved in an altercation with the male visitor, during which he was stabbed.

He was taken to Wexford General Hospital where he died from his injuries a short time later.

Gardaí have preserved the scene for a technical examination and the state pathologist’s office has been notified.
