Man killed in Co Limerick car crash

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this morning’s fatal crash to come forward.

GARDAÍ ARE appealing for witnesses to a car crash in Co Limerick this morning in which a 27-year-old man was killed.

The man was fatally injured when his car struck a ditch at around 9.40am today on the N24 at Ballysimon.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and a post-mortem is due to be carried out at Mid-Western Regional Hospital later today.

The road was closed temporarily to facilitate a technical examination of the scene and has reopened.
