88-year-old man killed in Waterford fire

No one else was in the house at the time and gardaí are not treating the incident as suspicious.

AN 88-YEAR-old man has died in a house fire overnight in Waterford.

The incident took place at a house near Ballymacarbery in Co Waterford at around 10pm.

No one else was in the house at the time of the fire and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The scene has been preserved and is currently being examined by gardaí but they are not treating the fire as suspicious.
