At approximately 10am the man was mugged by two males. The victim was hit over the head and had an “unknown substance sprayed” on him, according to the PSNI.

The victim has been taken to hospital fort treatment but, at this stage, it is believed that the substance is nothing untoward.

One of the robbers is described as being in his 20s and was wearing a red and white top. The two males made off in the direction of St Johns Avenue with a sum of cash.
