Man released over seizure of €100k worth of heroin in Cork

the man was released without charge this morning and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

A MAN IN his 20s arrested after the seizure of €100,000 of heroin in Cork has been released without charge.

Gardaí confirmed that the man who was being detained at Mayfield Garda Station in relation to the seizure was released this morning. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

As well as heroin, Gardaí seized cannabis herb and resin worth an estimated €4,000, as well as drug paraphernalia and mobile phones  during a search of a house on Model Farm Road in Cork city on Friday afternooon.

The raid was part of an operation targeting drug dealing in the city.
