Man seriously injured in Dundalk assault

The victim in his early 30s was hospitalised after the attack early this morning.

A MAN IS BEING treated in hospital after sustaining serious injuries when he was attacked in Dundalk.

The victim in his early 30s was assaulted at a house in the town in the early hours of this morning.

He is currently being treated at Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda after the incident on Mullaharlin Park, off the town’s Dublin Road.

Another man, also aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene. He is now being held at Dundalk garda station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act.

The scene has been closed off for technical examination by gardaí.

    It happened half a mile from Dundalk Hospital, yet he was taken to Drogheda, 20 miles away.

  • We need to ask these poor underprivileged people not to be so nasty in the future, we know it’s not their fault that they are heartless vicious scumbags who have 30 or 40 convictions.
    We the decent people of Ireland promise to be nicer and turn a blind eye if you promise to be good.
