Man who was hit by car dies as gardaí arrest teen in connection with incident

Gardaí say that an 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident in which a 21-year-old man, who was hit by a car, died this afternoon

A 21-YEAR-OLD man has died after he was hit by a car in south Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

The man – who was in a critical condition following the collision on Parnell Road at around 2am this morning – was pronounced dead this afternoon at St James’s Hospital where he was being treated.

Gardaí say they have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the incident and he is being held under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Sundrive Road garda station.
