Renewed appeal for missing man whose car was found near Wicklow forest

Marcin Machalak was last seen on 17 April.

GARDAÍ HAVE RENEWED their appeal for help tracing a man who went missing from Maynooth last month.

35-year-old Marcin Michalak, a Polish national, was last seen on 17 April at a supermarket in Maynooth.

The missing man is described as being 5′ 9″ in height, of strong build and with a tight hair cut and a partial beard. When last seen he was wearing blue jeans, black hoodie top with red writing on it and beige walking shoes. He was known to carry a small black backpack.

He was driving a Grey Mazda 6 car with the registration 04 WX 203. The car was located by a routine garda patrol at Luggala, county Wicklow, close to a forest area and trails in the Wicklow National Park.

This Sunday, investigating gardaí will be speaking to members of the public around this area in the hope that someone may have seen the 35-year-old when he left his car.

Gardaí said they are concerned for his welfare.
