A FEMALE MOTORCYCLIST has died after being involved in an accident with a car in Cork.
The accident occurred on Sarsfield road at about 11pm last night.
The motorcyclist was removed to Cork University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the car was not injured in the accident.
The road remains closed pending the completion of an examiner by Garda forensic investigators.
Gardaí have asked witnesses to contact Togher garda station at (021) 4947120, the Garda Confidential line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
