Man to appear in court as murder investigation is launched into man's death

A 20-year-old man died yesterday as a result of injuries he sustained two weeks ago.

A 20-YEAR-OLD man is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am tomorrow following the death of another 20-year-old man.

Gardaí in Tallaght launched a murder investigation yesterday evening.

A man was discovered on the Old Blessington Road, Tallaght on Wednesday, 1 November at about 3am with serious head injuries.

He was taken to Tallaght Hospital and later moved to Beaumont Hospital.

The man died as a result of his injuries yesterday. A post-mortem examination was carried out and the garda investigation was upgraded to murder.

Investigations are ongoing.
