Poll: Does Ireland need a new political party?

There’s a lot of talk about one, but do we actually need it?

NEWS THAT THE Reform Alliance is holding a national conference in Dublin on 25 January will fuel more talk of a new political party being formed.

The grouping of former Fine Gael TDs and senators has been much-speculated about since it formed last year with talk that a new party could be officially established after the local and European elections later this year.

Opinion polls show in some cases nearly a third of the electorate is undecided, but does this mean there is a new political party needed or does it just demonstrate that people are fed-up and/or apathetic about Irish politicians?
