1. #WELFARE: The woman at the centre of the latest abortion controversy was referred to the HSE two months earlier than previously thought, The Irish Times reports.

2. #SHOOTING: A man in his 40s has died in a shooting at a house in Saggart, Co Dublin.

3. #CAO 2014: New figures show a massive differences between Dublin postcodes in the number of school-leavers going on to third level education, RTÉ News reports. The report found that Donegal and Laois have the lowest level nationally (41%).

4. #PEACE TALKS: Renewed air strikes by Israel have killed at least eight people in Gaza, including four children and a pregnant woman. A 24-hour truce due to last until midnight collapsed late yesterday afternoon

5. #BUDGET 2015: We could be looking at a Budget free of new austerity measures, as Goodbody Stockbrokers has advised that none are needed to reach deficit targets. There might even be an income tax cut.

6. #THE WHOLE TOOTH: If you’re heading to get your pearly whites checked, Westmeath appears to be cheapest destination, according to new figures. Cork is the most expensive.

7. #DRUG ABUSE: Frequent marijuana use can negatively affect the brains of teenagers and young adults, a new report has found.  They class this as at least once a week.

8. #GE16: Lucinda Creighton has warned that Fine Gael will be hit hard in the next General Election, The Irish Sun reports. She told the paper it can be summed up in two words – “broken promises”.

9. #ROT: The Philadelphia Rose has been crowned the new Rose of Tralee, and everyone loves her.
